Leroy Smith’s 2-on-2 Hall of Fame Challenge

Hooped Up | May 31, 2009

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

NBA Live 09 and NBA 2K9 are all steaming piles of pixelated garbage compared to the LeRoy Smith 2-on2 Hall of Fame Challenge basketball game. The game is so real, you’ll thing you’re playing basketball in outer space like in you men’s league games on Tuesdays or shooting jumpers on a pirate ship like when you were a kid again.

If you don’t believe me, play the game and see for yourself here.

SHAZAM!

LeRoy Smith Exposed

Hooped Up | May 30, 2009

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

In an eye-opening expose filmed by somebody with a camera. The man who motivated Michael Jordan, Leroy Smith speaks about how he motivated maybe the best basketball player in the world to become the legend we know today. My friend tried to tell me that  LeRoy Smith and Charlie Murphy are the same person, but of course that’s crazy talk.

He then tried to tell me that Miley Cyrus and Hanna Montana are the same person too??? I think he needs help.

Parts 2, 3, and 4 of the amazing (and true) LeRoy Smith story after the jump.

Blazers Want Chris Paul

Hooped Up | May 29, 2009

Of course, Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard will make a trade. We’re talking about the general manager who once pulled off an NBA-record six deals on a single day. And we’re looking at a franchise that knows now more than ever that it needs to dramatically improve, quickly grow or decide to make a deal, and raise the talent level in three positions if it wants to play deeper in the playoffs. So we’ve arrived at another Blazersmoment in which the off-season breakfast burrito should be — and is — taking a backseat to the basketball. Could Pritchard be after what he’s coveted for years — New Orleans’ point guard Chris Paul? Or Memphis’ Michael Conley? Or is Pritchard simply trying to work his way into the top five of the draft again?

If Shannon Brown reads Hooped Up, I would imagine that immediately after cramming this offering down The Birdman’s throat, he screamed “Line your cage with that Birdman!”

At least I know I would.

NBA Rescinds Howard’s Last Technical Foul

Hooped Up | May 28, 2009
The NBA league office rescinded a technical foul called against Orlando Magic star center Dwight Howard in Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Taking away the technical foul is of great importance to the Magic because Howard goes back to having five technical fouls in these playoffs. A player is suspended the next game after picking up a seventh technical foul.

Howard was whistled for a technical foul — at the time his sixth technical foul — in the third quarter Tuesday night when he celebrated after converted a basket. Howard was grabbed around the shoulders and waist by Cleveland’s Anderson Varejao and he exalted upon making the basket anyway.

Obama Talks Draft Picks With The Maloof’s

Hooped Up | May 28, 2009

Sacramento actually has options in this years thin draft with the fourth pick and while rubbing elbows with the my homie (on Twitter) and should be Bulls GM  Barack Obama at a function in Las Vegas. They Maloof’s asked the President who they should select to help the Kings next season.

“Phil asked him who we (the Maloof-owned Sacramento Kings) should take in the NBA draft,” George Maloof said. “He liked Blake Griffin, of course; (Hasheem) Thabeetfrom Connecticut and he loved the kid from Memphis – Tyreke Evans,” the consensus national freshman of the year choice.”

Don’t worry tax paying complainer guy, I’m sure the conversation eventually drifted over to the North Korea situation, but I’m sure it was brief since it goes without saying that Kim Jong-il is a crazy bastard.
