Gibson says he’d welcome another power forward
Amare Stoudemire rolls into town Tuesday with gaudy averages and enough trade rumors in his wake almost to be an honorary Bull. The Bulls are chasing the Raptors for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot, and Toronto’s All-Star forward, Chris Bosh, is another potential Bulls target in free agency this summer.
So is another All-Star power forward, Utah’s Carlos Boozer. All of which makes incumbent starter and revelatory rookie Taj Gibson feel how, exactly?
“I’m fine with it because you have to take it in stride, and I just look forward to getting myself better and improving,” Gibson said. “Whatever guy we get, whether it’s a power forward or shooting guard, hopefully will help our team tremendously…

Fate rests on Raptors’ fade
Barring a miraculous finish, the key to their fate may be whether the Toronto Raptors allow themselves to be caught from behind. Six of the Bulls’ last nine games are against teams with winning records.
”We have had some tough games, and these last couple were kind of our little breather before we play Phoenix, Boston, Cleveland and Toronto,” Brad Miller said. ”We play everyone in front of us, so Toronto, obviously, is going to be a big game.”
Toronto also has nine games left, but its schedule is much more favorable. The Raptors have five home games, and only face three teams — the Cavaliers, Celtics and Atlanta Hawks — with winning records.
The rest of Toronto’s games — besides their April 11 game against the Bulls — are against some of the dregs of the NBA: the Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks.
On paper, the Raptors would appear to have the upper hand, but for that to be the case, they’ll have to prove that Monday’s victory gets them turned around. Before that game, Toronto was 4-13 since Feb. 24. At this point, the Bulls need a lot of help from the Raptors…

Official BaB reminder: Chris Bosh is good and the Bulls should get him
The clear best motivation of rooting against Toronto down the stretch (as if the hate itself isn’t enough fun) is the theory that it’ll force Chris Bosh to realize he’ll never get into contention with his current situation’s lack of flexibility (and lack of being good).
But do the Bulls even want Chris Bosh if he commands a max deal?
Yes. Very much so. Very much want…
