Dwight Howard broke a record held by nobody, by hitting this half court shot with ease while sitting on his Hillary Duff. Immediately after this record-breaking feat, Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy dreamed of a world where the free throw line was at center court for D-12.

At least that’s what I imagine.

Since adidas is the official apparel maker of the All-Star game, that makes the best players in the world a brotherhood.

The snazzy 2010 NBA All-Star jerseys were inspired by the host city of Dallas and the symbolic Texas state flag. The star on the front of the jersey unites opposing east and west players forming one star when standing next to each other and the single star is divided into five pieces joining as one, representing five players on each team coming together.

Another nice tribute to the host city on these jerseys is the Dallas skyline pattern on the back.

Over the last two days I’ve had some mad technical problems bringing you Hooped Up, but it looks like the worst has passed and everything is okay — for now (crosses fingers, throws salt over shoulder, and climbs sacred mountain to retrieve in bloom rare good luck orchid).

After watching the outtakes from Charles Barkley, Dwight Howard and Dwyane Wade filming their T-Mobile ads, I guess I wasn’t alone in the problems department. Yup, you could even say that minus the money, height and graduate professor jackets. I’m exactly like those guys. Then again, you could also say “keep dreamin’ buddy”.
