Before LeBron James had a chance to back pedal when asked to put together a list of his Top 3 of players of all-time during a recent interview. GM James listed Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Julius Erving aka Dr.J to his three man roster of greatness. Then realizing he left Magic Johnson (aka The Father of His Style) off his list. James tried to sneak the best point guard of all-time in at number 4. Oops.
Today Magic got a chance to respond to LBJ’s mini-snub via Twitter and here’s what the General of Showtime had to say:
Lebron is entitled to his opinion, but I still think that he and I have a similar game and that’s why I LOVE to watch him play!

NBA Championship rings are all that matter; Jordan 6, Me 5, Bird 3, LeBron 2 and Dr. J 1.

To be fair. Many consider Larry Bird and Magic Johnson two different sides of the same coin. So it’s understandable if Magic was left off a regular Joe’s top three list. However being that the similarities between Magic and LeBron are so close, it’s kinda weird he was left off the list. So yeah, welcome to the melodrama of offseason NBA news folks.
