“McDyess’s agent, Andy Miller, said as many as 17 teams have expressed interest. He wouldn’t specify the teams, but Cleveland, Boston and Toronto are reportedly among them. By league rule, he cannot sign with the Pistons until Dec. 12, 30 days after he cleared waivers. He can sign with any other team immediately upon clearing. McDyess, traded to Denver with Chauncey Billups and Cheikh Samb in the Allen Iverson deal, accepted what was reported to be a $6 million buyout from the Nuggets. In doing so, McDyess gave up close to $8 million in salary. ”
