This isn’t a news flash, but LeBron James won his second straight NBA MVP award. Receiving 116 out of a possible 123 first-place votes, compared to the four first-place votes runner-up to Kevin Durant received.
In 61 games, “The Chosen One” averaged 29.7 points, 8.6 assists and 7.3 rebounds becoming the 10th player to win consecutive MVP awards. A few months into the season, I’m sure the NBA got LeBron’s name engraved on the trophy to save time because c’mon — this was so going to happen all along.
The real question is just how many of these can LeBron win, keeping in mind that he’ll never leave the NBA to play baseball.
