The statue of Michael Jordan unveiled 1994 outside the United Center will get some bronze company in the form of a Scottie Pippen statue to honor the sidekick that helped the Chicago Bulls to six championships in the 1990s at the end of next season.
Unlike the Jordan statue, the tribute to the Pipmeister will be inside the Bulls facility where is #33 jersey hangs so angry birds can’t poop on Pip. Two weeks ago Pippen was enshrined into the Hall of Fame with Karl Malone as recognition for his exemplary career.
The bronze statue will be sculpted by Omri and Julie Rotblatt-Amrany of Highland Park, Ill., who also crafted the famous Jordan statue erected outside the United Center.
