It’s been about 48 hours since the “Bull” session the other day, and something still smells funny. The little gathering the other day to thank Vinny Del Negro for his wonderful two years of service was, to put it mildly, a bunch of bull—-.

How could anyone watching that believe a word that came from the lips of Gar Forman or John Paxson? The only ounce of truth came from the dearly departed Del Negro, who had the class to stick around and say goodbye. And, the fact that they tried to foist this b.s. on the fans–who they repeatedly acknowleged as being great and loyal–is criminal.

Calipari’s interest in Bulls’ coaching position interesting in itself
At the time, the April 22 scene appeared benign, two friends taking in a basketball game to witness other friends.

When Kentucky coach John Calipari strolled down a United Center hallway with powerhouse agent Leon Rose following Game 3 of the Bulls- Cavaliers series, nobody paid much attention.

Calipari and Leon Rose are friends. Calipari coached Derrick Rose at Memphis. And the respected Leon Rose’s prize client on a large roster of NBA players is LeBron James.

But with reports emerging that Calipari has interest in the Bulls’ job and James will be the most coveted free agent to hit the market July 1, the conspiracy theorists are having a field day…

Breaking down the coaching candidates for the Bulls
If, for some reason, things don’t work out with the Lakers, Jackson might think about the Bulls, who are, in theory, one good free agent away from becoming a title contender.

The Bulls would definitely be interested, even at the hefty price Jackson commands. He reportedly made $12 million this season.

Of course, obstacles exist. First of all, there needs to be a divorce from the Lakers, a team Jackson has coached with great success for 10 seasons. He would also be leaving his family behind with a return to the Midwest.

Beyond all that, the Lakers appear headed back to the NBA Finals, which means Jackson will be tied up until late June. If he has any interest in the Bulls, he’d have to send word now and there’s no evidence that has happened.
