After leaving the game with a knee injury Paul Pierce came out of the tunnel from the locker room and led the Celtics to a 98-88 win over the Lakers in Game 1 of the NBA finals.
Kevin Garnett was a beast that had his way with Pau Gasol all night scoring 24 points, Pierce finished with 22, and Ray Allen added 19 for the Celtics. The next game is in Boston Sunday.
