LA Lakers President and Governor Jeanie Buss appeared on ESPN to discuss the Henry Abbott article released last week which painted Kobe Bryant in a very negative light. Of the claim that Kobe Bryant was scaring off free agent from signing with the Lakers. Buss had harsh words for those players not willing to play alongside the fourth best scorer in NBA history.
“Any free agent that would be afraid to play with Kobe Bryant is probably a loser, and I’m glad they wouldn’t come to the team,” Buss said during a “SportsCenter” interview Thursday.
As for the person from the Lakers organization who potentially spoke to ESPN about Kobe. Buss sent a warning shot their way.
“I read the story,” Buss said Thursday. “I don’t agree with any of it. If there is somebody that’s on our payroll who is saying things like that, I’ll soon get to the bottom of it, and they won’t be working for us anymore.”
Yup. This thing is getting pretty dicey now.
