The Minnesota Timberwolves recently unveiled their new “Lights Out” alternate uniforms at home against the Denver Nuggets, that they will wear for 10 games total throughout the 2013-14 season.
“We’re excited to debut the new black jerseys tonight,” said Timberwolves forward Kevin Love. “We’ve had a chance to get a sneak peek at the jerseys, and are looking forward to wearing them and hope our fans enjoy them as much as we do.”
Designed by adidas, the black short-sleeve uniforms are inspired by the Minneapolis nightlife and continues the franchise’s black uniform tradition that dates back to 1996. On the side panels of the uniform, a continuing pattern of “M” and “W” representing the team name works well to contrast the overall dark look.
The Timberwolves are the latest team to add a sleeved alternate jersey joining the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers who also sport the new futuristic look. The new Wolves jerseys are now available at wolvesproshop.com, the Target Center, and NBAStore.com.
