Like only he can. Charles Barkley tells his story of the first time he played against Dirk Nowitzki during the 2012 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game, hosted by Nowitzki himself.
Their fist encounter takes place about 15 years ago in Berlin, Germany. When Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Barkley and a few other stars travelled to Europe as a team to play in the Nike Hoop Heroes Tour and an 18-year-old Nowitzki proceeded to score 52 points on the hall of fame squad.
This performance then prompted Chuck to illegally (and unsuccessfully) recruit Dirk “Cam Newton style” to his alma mater Auburn. Infractions be damned, this is an awesome story.
