It was only back in 2008 when Kobe Bryant won his first league MVP title, then promptly lost to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. The next two years LeBron James won the league MVP crown, and Kobe collected two back-to-back championship titles. So that wasn’t a bad trade off.
