Dwight Howard has been active with charities since joining the league and just over 6 months ago, he started his own with the help of former teammate Adonal Foyle, called the Dwight Howard Fund.
Aimed at helping kids in Haiti that were victims in the 2010 earthquake that rocked the country. DHF is supporting programs that promote nutrition, education & sport to help kids overcome the trauma of the earthquake.
In September, Howard made a donation of $100K to UNICEF and spend 72-hours in the country doing whatever he could to help out and thanks to a Hooped Up reader, here is some video footage from that visit.
