The re-signing of Ray Allen keeps the big three of Allen, Garnett and Paul Pierce who re-signed with the C’s last week intact for at least one more year. Last week, head coach Doc Rivers who was on the fence about rejoining the Celtics also agreed to return for at least one more kick at the can.
“I’m so happy to be returning,’’ he said in a text message to the Globe. “I’m looking forward to all the great times ahead.’’
