After jacking up two brain frozen shots with under a minute that gave way to a Jason Richardson banker three to tie the game up. Ron Artest was the last person in the Staples Center wearing a Lakers jersey (including the fans) that Phil Jackson drew up a play for to seal Game 5 for Los Angeles with just 3.5 ticks left on the clock.
It’s a good thing Artest is hard-headed and Kobe Bryant with the ball in his hands to win the game wasn’t enough insurance for Ron-Ron to not crash the boards which lead to him grabbing the final offensive rebound off a Bryant air-ball and then sinking the game winner at the buzzer. Ending the best game of the playoffs, I’ve seen thus far.
Game 6 goes down Saturday at 8:30 PM EST in Phoenix.
