Damian Lillard scored 30+ points for the fifth consecutive time to keep the Blazers surging in the west with a win over the visiting Nets. Giving the Blazers their sixth straight win in a row and Lillard some MVP chants.
“I said a month-and-a-half ago, my focus is to pour myself into the team, said Lillard. The reason they were chanting that is because I poured myself into the team. We’ve gotten better, we’re winning games and I’m playing well through that. I’ll just continue to do what I do (and) let everybody else make decisions like they have been and they always will.”
Lillard is the first Blazer to score at least 30 points in five straight games since Geoff Petrie did it during the 1970-71 season.
