Kemba Walker exploded for a monster night in Charlotte, scoring a franchise record 52 points in a Hornets double overtime win. Walker connected on 16 of 34 shots from the field, including 6 of 11 3-pointers.
“Marvin told me, `You’re going to get a 50 ball tonight,” Walker said. “I didn’t pay no attention actually until he told me again after the game. He was right. He called it.”
Walker is the first and only Hornets player to notch a 50 point game.
