Nobody maybe including Kobe Bryant knows if his 18 points in a Lakers loss was his last game in Madison Square Garden, but after the game he hinted that it might have been.
“If you asked me today, this would be my last year. But you never know,” said Bryant, who is in the final year of his deal with the Lakers. “We’ll keep it open. Whatever happens, happens.”
With that statement and his family visible courtside at both the Nets and Knicks game to cheer him on. It might be a better than 50% chance Kobe will never play in MSG again, but then again it’s Kobe and if anybody could play 21 seasons at guard in the league it’s him.
