Ahead of next week’s season opener, Derrick Rose will play for the first time in preseason action tonight against the Mavs. This is the first out of practice competition Rose has faced since suffering a broken orbital bone during training camp in September.
“It opens it up even more,” Rose said of the possibility of playing in the opener. “Every day my eye is improving. We’ll see how tonight goes. Everything I need to work on, this gives me a couple days to really work on it so I’m prepared for Tuesday.”
Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg plans on playing the former MVP for a total of 10 minutes.
