The Oklahoma City Thunder have fired head coach Scott Brooks, after a disappointing season in which they missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2008-2009 season.

In 2010 Brooks was named the NBA coach of the year and led the Thunder to the NBA Finals in 2012. He leaves the Thunder with a 338-207 record. College coaches Kevin Ollie (UCONN) and Billy Donovan (Florida) have been named early favourites to replace Brooks.
