Once again Splash Brother number two Klay Thompson went off. Dropping 26 points in the second quarter of his 37 total before halftime versus the visiting Grizzlies.
“I’m at my best when I’m moving well without the ball,” Thompson said. “I can score whenever I want, I feel like, but it’s best when it’s within the rhythm of the offense and the ball has moved from side to side.”
“This felt different,” Thompson said. “I don’t think I’ll ever get 37 points in a quarter again, but it was a similar situation in that my teammates did a great job of finding me.”
“He had only 26 in the quarter, so it really wasn’t that impressive to me,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joked. “I’ve seen 37, so whatever, Klay.”
Back in January Thompson, scored a NBA-record 37-points in the third quarter against the Kings.
