Dallas Mavericks future hall of famer Dirk Nowitzki continued his assault on the record books, nailing a dagger three in Brooklyn to push his team past the Nets while moving himself into 7th place on the NBA’s All-time scoring list.
“Right now, I’m chasing wins more than anything,” Nowitzki said. “Winning games is fun again. To me, it’s more important that we’re on a good team, competing every night and winning. Everything else will be great down the road when my career is over.”
“It’s been insane, a crazy ride in year 17,” Nowitzki said. “Moses was an unbelievable player. It’s been a humbling experience to pass all these all-time greats. It’s a tribute, obviously, to hard work, but also to all the great teammates and great coaches. I’m proud of it, but I’m more proud of the win.”
Nowitzki is now just 1184 points behind Shaquille O’Neal for sixth on the all-time scoring list.
