Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki made history Tuesday passing the legendary Hakeem Olajuwon for 9th place on the all-time scoring list. Making him the highest scoring international player of all-time.
“It was special to do it in front of the home crowd,” Nowitzki said. “They knew exactly how many points I needed. They gave me a standing ovation. You know, to pass ‘The Dream’ is unbelievable.”
Dirk capped off his night with 23 points in the Mavs’ 106-98 victory over the visiting Sacramento Kings.
