The next domino to fall in the LeBron James return to Cleveland appears to be the Rockets trading Jeremy Lin to the LA Lakers. Which will further impact the Miami Heat roster.
“The Lakers were amenable to this deal, according to sources, because Lin is only under contract for one more season, thus preserving their cap space next summer. They also covet draft picks, after trading away their first-round picks in 2015 and 2017 to Phoenix and Orlando as part of the Steve Nash and Dwight Howard trades, respectively.”
This moves allows the Rockets to free up more cap space to sign Chris Bosh to a 4-year $88 million deal according to sources. For the Lakers adding, Lin to their roster provides much needed added depth at the point guard spot.
