First overall pick from this year’s NBA draft Andrew Wiggins wore adidas at Kansas and he’ll continue with the three stripes in Cleveland after signing a multi-year shoe endorsement deal with the Germany based brand.
“Sources with knowledge of the signing say the contract is a multiyear deal that comes with a guarantee of at least $2 million annually. Adidas was pressured to try to secure its future even further with Wiggins in part because Rose, the company’s highest-paid NBA spokesman, has missed nearly two seasons with injury.”
Wiggins joins an all-star roster of names with adidas that includes Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, Dwight Howard, John Wall, Tim Duncan, Joakim Noah and fellow rookie Dante Exum.
