Like you always knew he would, Today Canadian Andrew Wiggins officially announced in a news conference with his University of Kansas coach Bill Self at Allen Fieldhouse, that he would enter the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft.
“He was so coachable, a great teammate,” Self said. “As good as he was for us, he’s only scratching the surface of what he can do. … He’s a humble, unselfish, team-first guy. He’s been an unbelievable ambassador to our program.”
The native of Vaughan, Ontario had a solid freshman campaign averaging scoring at 17.1 points per game and averaged 5.9 rebounds.He was also named The Big 12 freshman of the year.
