Back in 2008 the Miami Heat selected Michael Beasley 2nd overall in the 2008 NBA Draft. Two years later they traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for 2011 and 2014 second-round draft picks to clear salary cap space for free agents LeBron James, Chris Bosh and to re-sign Dwyane Wade.
Today, they signed him to a non-guaranteed deal fresh off of being released by the Phoenix Suns who had enough of Beasley after one season. Beasley will receive one year for $1,027,424 that would not become fully guaranteed until Jan. 10. If everything goes well, the Heat might have their best team yet.
