From the not so shocking files. LeBron James was selected as the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the fourth time in his career. Out of a possible 121 first-place votes, James received 120 with Carmelo Anthony receiving the lone vote to deny LeBron of a unanimous decision.
“It was probably a writer out of New York that didn’t give me that vote,” James said. “And we know the history between the Heat and the Knicks, so I get it.”
This season LeBron James averaged 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game on 56.5 percent shooting. He was presented with the Maurice Podoloff Trophy on Sunday.
