Former NBA pro Rashad McCants and former Tube V sex porn star Traci Lords combined their Wonder Twin Powers to form a very subpar looking comedy series called “The Booster Club.” Apparently in the series, McCants plays the bisexual leader of a high end shop lifting ring and Traci Lords shows some skin ocassionaly.
Clearly one of theses actors are in over their head with that type of role, I’ll let you guess who. Now I don’t want to say that it looks destined for cult movie status and very low direct to DVD sales. But it looks destined for cult movie status and very low direct to DVD sales.
According to the director, “The Booster Club” is a comedy series that will take viewers into the lives of a ring of professional booster “thieves” dedicated to the advancement of those addicted to the high of stealing. “The Wire” meets “Weeds” is the best way to describe it. It stars Traci Lords, Rashad McCants, Lamyia Good, Virginia Watson, Amy Bell, Nathaniel Lamar, Cru Ennis, and Latonya Holmes.
The Wire meets Weeds??? Really! I must have missed those seasons, because a spin-off series starring Renee Victor as Lupita making a name for herself in the mean streets of Baltimore already seems more exciting than this Razzy magnet.
