Forget about the traditional reasons of why people want to play in the NBA. The girls, the cars, the power — all that’s okay — I guess, but I’d like to play for the Washington Wizards because you get a free iPad courtesy of head coach Flip Saunders. Best training camp door prize ever? Yup!
“It’s not a matter of expense, it’s a matter of being a great learning tool,” Saunders said. “There are a lot of things you are able to do with it, with the video playbook, the edits that you can do. We don’t have to give out the playbook. Last year, our playbook was so big, it cost $175 to print them up. So, I think it’s very useful for them. We’re able to now, send them video, from edits, and they can watch it from their rooms. So we can do a lot more things with it.”
Not only is this a cool idea to trick your players into knowing all the defensive and offense sets you want to run, but as of this moment Flip Saunders if the most technology savvy guy named “Flip” in the world.
