The Raptors are still fighting to keep their slim lead on the Chicago Bulls for the 8th seed in the eastern conference and it’s getting tougher day-by-day to retain that lead with Chis Bosh now done for the season and Hedo Turkoglu suffering an injury yesterday putting his availability to day-to-day.
The club said Thursday that Turkish-born forward Hedo Turkoglu’s status is “day-to-day†after suffering a small, new non-displaced fracture when his face collided with the head of Boston guard Tony Allen during the first quarter of Wednesday’s 115-104 loss to the Boston Celtics at the Air Canada Centre.
The good news is that his CT scan showed “no significant displacement, and no skull or midface injuries,â€. The bad news is, on Friday the Raptors face the Atlanta Hawks in yet another pivotal eastern conference game. Sometimes when it rains broken noses, it pours broken noses.
