Mikki Moore, after playing his best ball of the season on the Warriors’ five-game road trip, will have surgery to remove bone spurs from his right heel and is out indefinitely, the Warriors announced Wednesday.
Moore, who made 20 of 28 shots on the trip, will have the foot casted and will be on crutches for several weeks. He has been bothered by the bone spurs since last season but was gutting it out because of the Warriors’ injury woes.
Unfortunately for Warriors fans, this is not an indication that Andris Biedrins (groin/abdomen) and Ronny Turiaf (knee) are ready to return. Both are close, but neither is expected to play on the Warriors’ two-game home stand, the team said.
