The Knicks have been on a signing tear over the last few days preparing for training camp which starts in a couple of weeks, and now they’ve added Sun Yue aka The Money King to the backcourt mix.
The Knicks, searching for more size in the backcourt, have signed Sun Yue, a 6-foot-9 point guard, to a partly guaranteed contract, his agent, Charles Bonsignore, said. Sun spent last season as a reserve for the Los Angeles Lakers, who drafted him in the second round in 2007. The Knicks signed two other players to partly guaranteed deals: point guard Gabe Pruitt, who spent the last two seasons with Boston; and forward Warren Carter, who played overseas the last two years. All three will be invited to training camp, which begins Sept. 29 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Man, the Knicks went from backcourt options of Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, or Ramon Sessions. To landing Gabe Pruitt and Sun Yue? How in the name of Taylor Swift did that happen???
