“Reunited, double LP, we’re all excited,Struck a match to the underground, industry ignited“. The last time you heard those Wu-Tang Clan lyrics, Allen Iverson was playing for Larry Brown and according to Dime Magazine, the ole 76ers pair could be reunited by the end of next week.
Friday night, Dime’s Aron Phillips spoke to an unnamed source who works in the NBA and said that Allen Iverson has worked out the details of a contract with the Charlotte Bobcats, but the deal won’t be official until next week. The general consensus surrounding A.I. is that the 34-year-old is too stubborn to blend into a contender’s system, and at the same time, will stunt the development of any up-and-coming young team. But Iverson in Charlotte could be a win-win for both sides: The ‘Cats need a go-to scorer on the perimeter, and Raja Bell and Gerald Henderson are more than expendable as far as coming off the bench while Iverson starts at two-guard.
The fact that Iverson doesn’t have a team to play for already is a joke! However, Charlotte looks like a great situation for Iverson because of the playing time available, old coach Larry Brown at the helm and front office man Michael Jordan, as a if needed mentor.
Providing this move goes down, expect to see a rejuvenated A.I and if  “you couldn’t add it up, if you mastered addition” why the Knicks never jumped on signing Iverson, you are not alone.
