So far, Allen Iverson has only had serious talks about playing pro ball in the league with the Clippers and the Grizzlies. Enter Greek powerhouse, Olympiacos.
For the first time this summer Allen Iverson has received an offer close to his liking, just not from an NBA team. Olympiacos is reportedly close to proposing a two-year contract worth $10 million to Iverson, the exact same deal that Nate Robinsonturned down. The main competition in the NBA for Olympiacos is the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
Playing overseas might not be a bad thing for the answer, but clearly playing in the NBA would be a better thing. If he ends up in Greece, the team officials better check daily that Iverson has set his watch isn’t stuff on eastern standard time. Or he’ll be late for everything!
