Raptors Sign Jarrett Jack

Bryan Colangelo’s busy summer continues.

The Toronto Raptors’ general manager signed Indiana Pacers’ guard Jarrett Jack to an offer sheet late on Saturday night, according to multiple media reports.

Jack, a six-foot-three, 200-pound combo guard who can play both backcourt spots, is a restricted free agent with the Pacers and that club has seven days to match Toronto’s offer, thought to be $20 million US over four years.

But the Indianapolis Star says that is unlikely to happen because Indiana is facing salary cap problems, and the club has said it would not go over the National Basketball Association’s luxury tax figure of $69.9-million US.

  1. This guy is a perfect fit for T-Dot! Finally, a guy not from europe interested in the Raptors!!!

  2. I have to agree with Andy 100%, raptor fans need to be educated and need to undertand the socio-econimics of sports nad life period. You have to have something to prove or a some what middle class up bringing ( I will take some flack for that comment, but I have played ball at a pro level ) so anyway, what was I trying to say….oh ya. You haven’t seen one person on the raptors that hasn,t fit this discription that has played for T.DOT for more than 2 years. You can,t blame BC, he’s smart ,he knows this, he can now play this to his advantage, I was hanging with my boy on Saturday and said next up in a year or less is AK47. Toronto will be team Europe, If Ginoblli, Parker, Duncan, Verajoa, join in the next 2 years is that a surprise…No
P.S does JP riccardi ( who is the manager for Toronto Blue Jays, for the American viewers ) Jarret Jack plays baseball, cause they can use some help too.
