Newest Laker, Ron-Ron will pay tribute to recently departed Michael Jackson by wearing the number of weeks MJ’s Thriller album topped the charts in 1982.
Ron Artest, who wore No. 96 with the Houston Rockets last season, will wear No. 37 with the Lakers in honor of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album, which topped the national sales chart for 37 weeks after its 1982 release. . . .
Artest also has worn Nos. 15, 93, 23 and 91 in the NBA, the latter two to honor Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman
This is way better than wearing a bedazzled glove or a million zipper jacket like the random dude I saw wearing exactly that today.
