Jeff Green Named Big East Player Of The Year

Georgetown junior forward Jeff Green was selected the Big East player of the year on Tuesday in a vote of the league’s coaches.

The 6-foot-9 Green averaged 13.6 points and 3.5 assists, both team highs, and grabbed 5.9 rebounds in leading the Hoyas to their first regular season title since 1989. He is the first Georgetown player to win the award since Alonzo Mourning in 1992.
