Monta Ellis is having a pretty good season after coming back from a wicked moped accident this summer and things should continue onward and upward for Ellis next year in Golden State.
Just watch as Monta Ellis flies down the wing like he’s on a four wheel scooter with airbags and gives Ronny Turiaf a great behind the back pass, (which is the Vespa of passes in the moped basketball community) for the two-handed slam.
As long as he remembers it’s “rubber side down” this summer, his 2009 – 2010 season should be a real good one.
If you’re impressed with the defense of Ronny Turiaf, just wait till you see his punting skills!
If you are Baron Davis please do not read the following as it will make you hurl…violently…again. Can the Clippers just change their name to the LA Purgatories? Clipper nation I really admire your spirit!
Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Ronny Turiaf has agreed to a four-year, $17 million offer from the Golden State Warriors, the Riverside, Calif. Press-Enterprisereports.
Turiaf is a restricted free agent, so the Lakers have a week to match the Warriors’ offer.
Turiaf’s agent would neither confirm nor deny that a deal was reached with the Warriors.
Five young Indian players will take part in the ‘Basketball without Borders’ program, the first NBA-backed event in the India, to be held here from July 3 to 6.
The Indian players selected for the event are Pratham Singh, Hirendra Singh Rathore, Shadab Khan, Vishesh Bhriguvansh and Arjun Singh.
Kyle Korver (Utah Jazz), Ronny Turiaf (L.A. Lakers), Pat Garrity (Orlando Magic) and Linton Johnson (Phoenix Sons) will join the 53 under-19 players from 15 countries and territories in the four-day camp.
The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), are organising the camp at the American Embassy School.
The NBA will review the play and it is possible Turiaf could be suspended by the league for Game 5 on Wednesday night at Staples Center. The league has cracked down on fouls to the head in recent seasons, accidental or not. “I hope the league sees that I went for the ball,” Turiaf said when asked if he expected to be suspended. “I tried to grab the shot. I didn’t do anything dirty. I didn’t undercut him. It’s one of those freak plays that happen in basketball. “Everybody jumped up and started calling me names, acting like I tried to hurt somebody. For me, I was just trying to make a play on the basketball. I don’t know, man. I don’t know.”
