Hooped Up | March 19, 2010

On yesterday’s NBA on TNT broadcast, Ernie Johnson brought Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley some of the coolest headphones a basketball fan could ever want. Inspired by the upcoming Mix Master Mike series, Skullcandy has created headphones to celebrate some of the best players in the game today like Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

Derrick Rose And Stacey King In, The Memo

Hooped Up | March 18, 2010

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

I didn’t get “The Memo” until today, that with help from Bulls announcer Stacey King and Derrick Rose the NBA defense song was remixed. I got a strange feeling that Goran Dragic is ignoring this memo — repeatedly.

Peep the original defense song after the jump.

Derrick Rose Out Till Tuesday

Hooped Up | March 12, 2010

Chicago point guard Derrick Rose has been ruled out of the Bulls’ game Friday night against the Miami Heat with a sprained left wrist.

Rose was injured Thursday in the Bulls’ loss at Orlando, after colliding with Magic centre Dwight Howard.

The Bulls say tests performed Friday confirmed the sprain, but showed no breaks or ligament damage.

He is listed as day-to-day, meaning he could play Tuesday when Chicago visits Memphis.

Rose leads the Bulls with averages of 20.4 points and 5.7 assists this season.

Derrick Rose makes Zach Randolph wish he was Reed Richards with this flush through the lane, that he makes look way too easy.

Derrick Rose Suffers Mild Knee Injury

Hooped Up | February 28, 2010

Rose left the floor at the 2:56 mark of the fourth quarter after he tried to stop Pacers point guard Earl Watson on a drive to the basket and bumped his left knee. Rose immediately grabbed his leg in alarm. Once on the bench, he removed a knee pad and was examined by assistant trainer Jeff Tanaka. As the clock wound down, Rose could be seen massaging the injured area.

Following the game, Rose retreated to the trainer’s room, his left knee encased in ice. It doesn’t appear to be anything serious, but Rose never gave his version. He ducked out of the locker room’s back door without speaking to reporters.

Derrick Rose Goes Over The Glass For Deux

Hooped Up | February 25, 2010

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

This finger roll from the hip is hard enough to make with the backboard in front of you and how Derrick Rose hit this shot from behind the glass is beyond me. Rose is so athletic right now, that his lack of a deep shot doesn’t even matter at this point. He’s just that good!

I’d pay money to watch this dude play any day.

Derrick Rose left the Chicago Bulls’ game against the Orlando Magic with a bruised right hip, throwing the point guard’s status for this weekend’s All-Star game into question.

Rose was injured about 2{ minutes into Wednesday’s game when he got knocked to the floor by Dwight Howard while driving for a layup. He clutched his lower back and was slow to get up.He hit the free throw to complete the three-point play but left right after that.
