Is Derrick Rose coming back before the Bulls playoff runs ends? I don’t know. If I did, I’d probably have an awesome sports job in Chicago with 24/7 access to Hot Doug’s, Big Star tacos, and the delicious turkey burgers at Deuces and The Diamond Club. Anyway, those of you that have access to some of my favourite things in Chi-Town on a regular basis that love D.Rose. Should definitely cop this tee from the homies at Purehoop to show your Chicago pride. You should also send me a gift card to any three of those eateries if you have the extra scratch. I’m just sayin’.
A great Derrick Rose illustration by Korean artist Min-suk KIM aka Kwang33.
Nobody has a clue if Derrick Rose is coming back this season, but at least all the signs of progress seem to be there. Watch D.Rose playing some one-on-one with his teammates during a Bulls practice.
This Derrick Rose painting by Armando Villarreal, is a limited edition giclee on paper, created in an edition of 150, numbered, framed and signed by the artist.
Personally. I kinda hope Derrick Rose waits until next year for his return. Why? Four words. Grant Hill and Brandon Roy. Just take out the “and” in your final word count, okay chief. Anyway, as you might remember both Hill and Roy were players who came back too early from injuries for a playoff run, only to suffer complications that robbed them of their potential greatness.
Besides, this is most likely not a championship year for the Bulls and potentially derailing the young career of Chicago’s only other player to win an MVP award would be a total waste. With all that being said, it’s still exiting to see Rose dunking, river dancing and running the 40-yard dash before games.
As long as he dosen’t come back too early.
Derrick Rose throwing down a two-handed dunk off stride during pre-game warm-ups seems like a great sign, but let’s not jinx it. Let’s just enjoy it.
