NBA Live 13 Gets Canceled Again

The Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy album, the Dr.Dre Detox album and NBA Live have so much in common right now.

It seems like forever since we last experienced an EA Sports basketball game, but that’s because it’s been forever since we last experienced an EA Sports basketball game. If you’re keeping track, 2009 was the last time EA released a basketball game and unfortunately, we’ll have to keep waiting as they have canceled the release of NBA Live, again.

The cancellation of NBA Live 13 comes shortly after EA Sports announced the game, their first return to the NBA in three years, would not meet its October 2012 release date. Now the game has been cancelled for the foreseeable future, though work on it will continue in hopes of a fall 2013 release under a different name such as NBA Live 2014.

At this point the only way I’ll play NBA Live is if it features tracks from the Detox album or if EA Sports releases it — both seem very unlikely thought.
