Iman Shumpert Out 6-8 Months

In what turned out to be the second devastating knee injury of the day. Rookie Iman Shumpert tore his ACL and the lateral meniscus in his left knee during the Knicks blowout loss to the Miami Heat.

The injury occurred in the third quarter on a seemingly harmless play that ended with Shumpert falling to the court, clutching his knee and being carried off by his teammates. He is expected to miss 6-8 months after surgery, according to the Knicks.
