Freshly Dipped: Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Bruce Lee’

Hooped Up | April 8, 2010

As far as collaborations go, merging the awesomeness of Kobe Bryant with the awesomeness of Bruce Lee if right up there with Chicken and Waffles or Milk and Cookies. Already available in limited numbers, the Kobe V “Bruce Lee” pays homage to the most famous Kung Fu artist of all time.

The design of the shoe is inspired from the Bruce Lee classic “Game Of Death“, and sports a yellow synthetic base and black bonded overlays, with four red scratch marks along the lateral side of the toe symbolizing Lee’s battle scars in the movie. So it’ll go great with your yellow Bruce Lee jumpsuit Kareem Abdul-Jabbar messed up.

What’s even cooler about this collaboration is the posters created for them where Kobe Bryant re-creates a few of Bruce Lee’s famous poses, like the ‘Game of Death’ poster.

Be sure to check out the posters below, after the jump.

In an interview with Sole Collector, Bryant explained why he choose a Bruce Lee inspired colorway by saying . ‘We have some different people that have been inspirational to me. ‘We all have had dreams, goals or aspirations, and have met resistance in one form or fashion. Those are people that I draw inspiration from, so we used those with the different colors of the shoe, like the Bruce Lee shoe.’
