Third-year guard CJ McCollum carried the Blazers past Sacramento with 35 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals. In the absence of Damian Lillard, still sidelined with a plantar fasciitis injury.
“CJ worked very hard his first two years here. But he learned the NBA game and put in a lot of time to have the type of success he is having right now,” Blazers coach Terry Stotts said.
McCollum became the first Blazers player in 29 years to record at least 35 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals since Clyde Drexler.
