adidas today debuted the Crazylight Boost 2.5, the first shoe in the Aurora Borealis footwear collection. The Aurora Borealis Crazylight Boost 2.5 will be worn on-court by adidas players in February to celebrate NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto.
The Aurora Borealis collection is inspired by Toronto’s vibrant, cosmopolitan culture and the Northern Lights that paint the sky in upper parts of Canada. The collection will feature an array of adidas basketball and Originals shoes all engineered with glow in the dark styling and multicolor uppers. Each model pairs bright color palettes that blend gradient knit textures and purple accents to reflect the Aurora Borealis.
The first of the Aurora Borealis collection to be unveiled, the new Crazylight Boost 2.5 combines design cues from its predecessor with unique color treatment featuring a purple and teal Primeknit upper and seamless integration of breathable mesh through the forefoot for a dynamic look and comfortable feel. Three teal stripes beneath a mesh panel offer subtle detailing, while asymmetrical collar construction wraps the foot for an enhanced fit. Boost cushioning delivers added comfort and performance on the hardwood.
The Aurora Borealis Collection launches at adidas.com in early 2016.
