The legend of Kristaps Porzingis grew a bit more Saturday night in Houston after the Knicks rookie posted 24 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocked shots in 35 minutes of work to beat the reeling Rockets.
“He played a total game tonight,” Anthony said after the Knicks recorded the first four-game winning streak under Derek Fisher. “Each game he’s getting better and better. There was concern because people didn’t know what to expect. People had never seen him before and people were also upset that the Knicks drafted him. There was a lot of things swirling around. Nobody expected 24, 14 and seven blocks. Nobody expected that. But I’ll take it.”
This game marked the first Knicks win in Houston since 2004.
