Drake might have a future in announcing games at the ACC if this whole rapping thing doesn’t pan out. As part of his “Drake Night” duties, the Toronto native was tasked with announcing the Raptors starting lineup and of course he did it with a twist.
He let us know Jonas Valanciunas “loves to spend his free time at Scarborough Town Centre”; Amir “Tall Money” Johnson was made known as “a good friend of mine”; he reminded folks Terrence Ross was “that Slam Dunk winner that you know”; Kyle Lowry (who was never in Rush Hour) got the “they used to tell him he looked like Chris Tucker, but he doesn’t” treatment; DeMar DeRozan got a stuttering “D” for his last name John Mason style and coach Dwane Casey was introduced as “dashingly handsome.” Yup, “Drake Night” had very few un-entertaining moments.
Then at halftime.
