High school baller Trey Johnson scored a game-winning basket at the buzzer. Usually that’s a great thing, but this time it wasn’t — cause Johnson scored on the wrong basket. Oops. With just 3.7 seconds left in the game and his team up by one-point. Johnson received an inbound pass, but instead of dribbling out the clock Bob Cousy style, Johnson streaked towards his own basket and made a layup to seal victory for Millwood High School 38-37. Too bad he plays for Hugo High School.
As you would expect, something like this could easily crush a teenagers spirit, but the OKC Thunder have rallied around Johnson during this tough time.
Keep your heads up #TreyJohnson and the Buffaloes. Your Oklahoma basketball family’s with you! Congratulations on a great season. #HugHugo

Thunder GM Sam Presti also set Trey Johnson up with some free tickets which he took advantage of yesterday and after the game, Russell Westbrook gave him an autographed pair of his game worn shoes. It’s nice to know these kind things still happen. Stay classy OKC.
