Even if he tried Austin Rivers couldn’t have sprained his right ankle for the second time in four days, more awkwardly.
“When I see him go down like that, you always think the worst,” Hornets coach Monty Williams said. “He’s been able to come back from these kinds of injuries before. He’s walking around. He’s in the locker room. He wanted to come back into the game. … Just glad he’s OK.”
There has been no word if Rivers will be available for the Hornets first game of the season, but if he is I expect him to play with a temporary robotic ankle.
